As an independent business we are not tied to any one supplier or manufacturer and can focus on supplying whatever best meets the needs of individual customers. You can expect care and attention from qualified and experienced professionals who really do understand eye care and who have the benefit of the latest technology.

Our aim is to dispel the myth that High Street optical chains are cheaper than independents and we can achieve this because:

• We are a member of a buying group with over five hundred participating practices and therefore command significant supplier discounts making savings that we pass on to you.
   
• Our business costs are comparatively low. For example, we do not have to pay high street property costs and we make extensive use of modern technology, saving time and money. We also spend relatively little on advertising as our customers promote our business for us.

Eye examinations are free under the NHS if:

• You are under 16.
• You are under 19 in full-time education.
• You are over 60.
• You or your partner receive Income support, working families tax credit/income based job-seekers allowance.
• You have low income (with certificate HC2).
• You are prescribed complex lenses.
• You receive disabled persons Tax Credit.
• You are registered blind or partially sighted.
• You have diabetes or glaucoma.
• You are over 40 and have a brother/sister or a parent with glaucoma.
